A shocking clip captured in Torreon, Coahuila, Mexico on Tuesday shows a man driving a silver car while a baby is strapped in a carrier on the vehicle's roof.
Passersby can be heard urging the driver, with one individual shouting, "Hey, mate, you've got the baby carrier on top of your car!" and honking repeatedly.
The infant's cries are audible as the conversation unfolds. After several warnings, the driver finally pulls over, initially confronting the good-samaraitan before removing the carrier and placing it inside the back seat.
He then comments, "It can happen to any of us." The man later returns to the other vehicle and asks the witness to delete the footage, a request that is ignored.
The driver's identity and his relation to the child have not been disclosed, and it is unclear whether local authorities have opened an investigation into the incident on Avila Camacho street.
