Channel 4 personality Fatima Timbo, 29, confirmed she is divorcing photographer Alan Laszczak after a seven-month marriage, stating she will not lower her standards.

The TikTok star explained she needs "to be able to choose myself" and must "live my truth", she told FUBAR radio.

Timbo, known as Fats, wed Laszczak in an elaborate Cornish ceremony with fireworks in August 2025.

Earlier that month, the TV figure - who rose to fame on The Undateables - described the split as "one of the hardest times in my life ever" and revealed the couple had been apart for four months.

During the radio interview she said, "One minute your girl's married, next minute I'm telling the world that I'm getting a divorce."

She added, "I need to be able to choose myself. I can't keep putting someone else first that doesn't even put themselves first."

Timbo noted many stay in relationships out of fear of judgment or loneliness, saying, "They're scared of what life holds, and it's familiar."

Reflecting on her decision, she said, "It was terrifying to come out of something where I was looked so happy to the outside world, but at the same time I had to live my truth."

She continued, "I'm finally settling in, being on my own and enjoying singlehood, and enjoying working and exploring. I'm not lowering my standards."

In the summer, the social-media and TV star posted an emotional Instagram video showing her applying makeup while announcing the breakup, saying, "Me and Alan are getting a divorce. This is one of the hardest times in my life ever. I never thought a year after getting married, I'd be getting a divorce. Let me not cry on camera... I never thought I'd do this kind of video ever," before wiping away tears.

Timbo began dating Laszczak four years earlier; he proposed in May 2024.

She was born with dwarfism and prefers the term "little people".
