Nottingham Forest midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White's residence was broken into, his fiancée Britney De Villiers confirmed.
De Villiers, a South African model and influencer, wrote on social media that the burglary occurred "a few days ago" and described feeling "violated".
She added, "I wasn't going to publicly share this but our home was burgled a few days ago and after hearing about another one since, I feel it's important to just warn others."
De Villiers said the incident was "incredibly unsettling knowing that homes are being targeted" and urged people to keep security systems active and report anything suspicious.
She noted that no one was at home during the incident, that material items can be replaced, but the feeling of a violated home is distressing, especially with young children present.
"Please stay safe and look out for one another," she concluded.
