Jake Paul could make his boxing comeback on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, after being cleared to fight following a broken jaw suffered against Anthony Joshua last December. Darren Till, the 33-year-old ex-UFC fighter, is among the names being discussed for the bout.

Location and Promotion

Dubai is being considered as the venue, with Nakisa Bidarian - co-founder of Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) with Paul in 2021 - leading negotiations with potential opponents and broadcasters. Bidarian told SunSport ahead of MVPW 7 on Nov. 8 that the festive period offers a gap for live entertainment between turkey and presents.

Market Timing

Bidarian said the window is ideal because families are at home, often watching low-quality reruns or secondary sports. He noted that Amazon will air an NFL game on Christmas Eve for the first time, creating a captive audience with limited competition for attention.

Potential Opponents

Four fighters have been in talks to face Paul, with Darren Till confirmed as one of them. Former opponent Tommy Fury, 27, is not in the mix. Till left the UFC in 2023, signed with Misfits Boxing and won three fights, then moved to Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship, defeating Aaron Chalmers and Yoel Romero.

"Darren Till is definitely one of the names that Jake put out there on his list and is definitely one of the names that we've been speaking to," Till said.

"If we figure it out in the next 24 hours, we'll hopefully get a fight in this year. But I can't tell you today if it's one or the other."

Boxing Calendar Highlights

Other major fights this year include the Anthony Joshua vs Tyson Fury showdown on Dec. 11 and Canelo Alvarez vs Christian Mbili on Oct. 31.
