Police in Liverpool have opened a manhunt following gunshots reported in a cul-de-sac in Toxteth at about 1.20 pm on September 23. CCTV footage released by officers shows a masked individual dressed in a bright orange hi-vis outfit, carrying a backpack.
The suspect also wore a balaclava and black gloves, according to the released images. No damage or injuries were reported from the alleged shooting.
Detective Inspector Chris Clark of the Firearms Investigation Team urged anyone who was nearby or who recognizes the distinctive clothing and build to contact authorities. "Although the image does not show the person's face, we think the distinctive clothing and bag may jog someone's memory. You may have seen them in the area or be familiar with them from their clothing and build. Please come forward as soon as possible if so," he said.
Police have asked anyone with information to get in touch.
