Former Columbia University student and anti-Israel activist Mahmoud Khalil is set to speak on the campus Tuesday evening to launch his memoir "No Land to Stand On," after being released from ICE custody.

The appearance has ignited fury among Jewish alumni groups, who say the event is offensive.

Khalil's book recounts the 104 days he spent in a federal detention center.
