Love Island star Mitch Taylor and his former girlfriend, model and ring girl Hayley Griffin, have called off their two-year relationship.

The Sun first reported the breakup, and Griffin, 26, later posted a large bunch of pink and red roses wrapped in fuchsia packaging to her Instagram Stories, adding the caption "surrounded by the best people".

Earlier, she had shared a cryptic image with the words "A happy girl who knows her worth."

A source told us last week that both parties were "really sad it didn't work out" and that "there is so much love there but sometimes things aren't meant to be."

Mitch, 30, rose to fame on the summer 2023 series of Love Island, earning the nickname "Messy" for his villa antics. He was expected to join the All Stars series in 2024 but left the show single after another difficult romance.

He initially revealed his relationship with Griffin through an Instagram video, later posting a photo of her in gym wear holding a large bouquet, confirming they were together.

The couple were renovating their first home together before the split.

The breakup follows Mitch's decision to return to his day job as a gas engineer and to sell his £50K BMW, moves he made to secure a mortgage for a house.
