Lebanese designer Elie Saab, known for dressing Beyoncé, Zendaya and Halle Berry on the red carpet, has partnered with Swedish retailer H&M to release an affordable eveningwear line.
Collection details and pricing
The new range features 55 items, including embellished gowns, sequined blazers, lace separates, faux-fur outerwear, footwear and jewelry, all reflecting Saab's trademark embroidery and detailing. Prices begin at $39.99, with standout pieces such as a $269 sequined bandeau dress, a $219 fluffy jacket and a $429 embellished bandeau dress. More modest options include $89.99 blouses and a $39.99 floral choker, plus menswear, handbags and tailored jackets.
Designer background and celebrity ties
Saab first gained fame after dressing Halle Berry in a burgundy gown for her 2002 Oscar win, a look that propelled the Beirut-born designer to global attention. More than two decades later, Berry revisited the dress at Saab's 2024 anniversary show in Riyadh. In 2026, Beyoncé wore a sheer black ballgown from Saab's fall couture collection at the New York premiere of Jay-Z's HBO Max docuseries, while Zendaya appeared in a black dress from the same line during a New York outing with Tom Holland. Angelina Jolie has also chosen Saab for the Oscars, including a silver gown in 2014.
H&M partnership statement
"We are thrilled to announce this landmark collaboration with Elie Saab," said Ann-Sofie Johansson, H&M's creative advisor and head of design womenswear. "Mr Saab is a designer we have always respected - the journey from master of bridalwear in Beirut to the centre of Paris fashion is an amazing, rich story and we are so excited to be exploring his world."
