Ranbir Kapoor and Yash, the leads of the film "Ramayana: Rise of a Legend," opened Gold House's largest Gold Diwali celebration at The Majestic Downtown in Los Angeles on the evening a week before the movie's release.

Gold House, an organization that supports and showcases the Asian Pacific community, timed the gathering for Diwali, which falls on Nov. 8 this year. The group promoted the film as the biggest ever produced out of India; it launches worldwide on Nov. 5 and the night featured a DJ set and a dance floor themed around the movie.

The same evening the organization unveiled the Gold Stack Shorts Fund, a collaboration with South Stack Studios intended to back proof-of-concept shorts and micro-series rooted in South Asian narratives. Submissions remain open until Nov. 30, with winners to be announced on Jan. 10, ahead of Sundance.

"Diwali is a celebration of light, community and connection, and we wanted to bring that spirit to our Gold Diwali while honoring how culture shapes who we are and the possibilities we create," said Bing Chen, Gold House's executive chair and CEO.

Indian luxury designer Anita Dongre introduced a one-off hand-painted carrom board created with Gold House, turning the traditional tabletop game into a modern design piece. Attendees also saw the Cuyana × Gold House Marigold Charm, a limited edition released in October.

Co-hosts spanned entertainment, media, fashion and business, including Tan France, Freida Pinto, Avantika, Sarayu Blue, Dhar Mann, Blumhouse president Abhijay Prakash, Poshmark chairman Manish Chandra and McKinsey global head of TMT and consumer technology Kabir Ahuja. Anita Dongre, Yash Dongre and South Stack Studios also co-hosted.

The guest list featured Saheli Khan, Aishu Devan and Sehaj Sethi of "Avatar: Seven Havens," as well as Hannah Simone, Janina Gavankar, Manish Dayal, Sanya Malhotra, Richa Moorjani, Nisha Ganatra, Asif Ali, Michelle Khare and Avani Gregg.

Rasoi Catering provided regional South Asian dishes, and a lounge was set aside for carrom. DJ MissNinja supplied music alongside KVS Tabla, which blends tabla with electronic sounds. Bhindi Jewelers ran a jewelry experience, while dating app Dil Mil sponsored a portrait station produced by The Lounge Booth. Sponsors included Smartwater, Glance, McKinsey & Company and Google's 100 Zeros, and the event was produced by BMF Productions.

In remarks, Chen added that Gold Diwali celebrates creators, founders and builders whose "overnight success is decades in the making."

The party follows the recent rollout of Gold House's Diwali Cultural Guide.
