Strictly Come Dancing professional Alexis Warr sobbed after the BBC programme removed her and celebrity partner Shaun Wright-Phillips on Sunday.
The 44-year-old footballer was the fourth contestant to leave after a heated dance-off with Jaime Winstone and Carlos Gu.
Shaun, 44, and Alexis, 26, performed their Jive to "Faith" by Stevie Wonder featuring Ariana Grande a second time, but the routine did not secure their continuation.
Although head judge Shirley Ballas voted to keep the pair, Anton Du Beke cast the decisive vote that sealed their exit, and on the companion show It Takes Two, Alexis became visibly upset.
She was shown wiping tears as a highlight reel of their performances played.
Wearing a black lace top and leather shorts for the Strictly spin-off, Alexis covered her face with her hands as she let the emotions flow.
Host Ellie Taylor addressed Shaun, saying, "I can see how much this experience means to you. You're clearly quite emotional about it. Did you think you'd be as invested as you became?"
He replied, "Actually, no. I actually came here just to learn to dance. I didn't think that emotional connection would happen, and I think it kicked in after the first dance-off, and that's kind of when I realised it, I'm enjoying it a bit too much."
Alexis responded, "No. There's never too much!"
Shaun added, "But Yeah, I love everyone. I don't have nothing bad to say".
Their eviction means they will miss Strictly's iconic Halloween Week.
Some skeptical viewers had earlier suggested Shaun was being deliberately "saved" in prior rounds.
Audiences were surprised when his well-known father appeared in the crowd.
Shaun later rebutted accusations of a "PR stunt" after former Strictly professional Brendan Cole made the claim, stating to Oddschecker, "I've never used Dad for any public vote. He came because he just wanted to see me at work, and I wanted him there because I know the support he gives... Dad being there has nothing to do with trying to pull in votes, just for the record."
