Louise Khan, 47, has been pulled into a six-year legal dispute after her husband, finance boss Mohammed Asif Khan, allegedly spent £160,000 of company money on escorts, including Brit porn star Gemma Massey.

Khan was accused of stealing about £1.1 million from North of England Coachworks while serving as its finance director. Court evidence showed he paid roughly £160,000 to named women, with £56,000 going to Gemma Massey, billed at £1,000 an hour.

In 2024 he agreed to a £500,000 civil settlement with the company but has repaid only around £550, after pawning a £20,000 Rolex watch to keep it from his former bosses.

Senior Master Jeremy Cook sentenced Khan to six months in jail for contempt of court and later refused an order to investigate his wife's accounts.

Lawyers for North of England Coachworks sought an information order to trace any funds transferred to Louise, noting a £23,000 freezing order already in place on her accounts.

Louise's counsel, Gordon Menzies, claimed she is in "state of acute financial difficulty" and relying on food banks because of the case.

Cook questioned why the company had not examined Khan's own bank records, asking why there was no application against him and why the firm had not shown more than the £23,000 already acknowledged by Louise.

Khan, who left the firm in 2019 after irregular cheque payments were discovered, admitted the "shame" of using company funds for escorts but said his bosses were aware and did not object.

He confirmed a judgment of £500,000 was entered against him, payable by 4 pm on 6 August 2024, yet he has only managed to pay about £550.

Senior Master Cook concluded that without further evidence of additional funds passed to Louise, the company's claim could not proceed.
