Socialite author Amy Griffin has rejected allegations that she threatened the son of New York Times reporter Katherine Rosman and that she sought to prevent Rosman's children from gaining admission to college.
Griffin, known for her high-society novels, said the accusations are false and she has never made any threats toward the reporter's family.
Rosman, a veteran Times journalist, previously reported the claim, stating that Griffin allegedly tried to intimidate her son and interfere with her children's college plans.
Griffin's denial comes as the story continues to attract public attention.
