Walker Scobell, Leah Sava Jeffries and Aryan Simhadri, together with co-creator Jonathan E. Steinberg and executive producer Dan Shotz, attended Italy's Lucca Comics and Games Festival on Friday for a panel that screened never-before-seen footage of Season 3.

Returning cast members include Charlie Bushnell as Luke Castellan, Daniel Diemer as Tyson and Dior Goodjohn as Clarisse La Rue. New deities will join the story: Hubert Smielecki as Apollo, Kate McKinnon as Aphrodite and Ming-Na Wen as Hera.

The third season adapts Rick Riordan's third novel, "The Titan's Curse," and follows Percy Jackson (Scobell), Grover Underwood (Simhadri) and Annabeth Chase (Jeffries) along with other Camp Half-Blood campers as they confront the Titan Atlas, played by Holt McCallany.

In one clip, Percy declares "Zeus sucks!" prompting a roar from fans at the Teatro Moderno. A later scene shows Thalia (Tamara Smart) battling a monster in an underground car park, with Percy and Annabeth arriving to recruit her for a mission to rescue two half-bloods from a military academy.

Steinberg said, "Season 3 is really, really big. I think the story that we've been hinting at for two seasons about the bigger war is now starting to become real. And we're going to meet our first real bad guy."

Shotz added, "The scope is incredible. Bigger monsters. We've got titans. We've got gods. And this season, we've got all the Gods."

Scobell noted that the show's mythological themes bleed into his daily life, recalling a classroom moment when a mention of the minotaur made him "freak out for a second."

Simhadri explained that Grover feels torn between the real and mythic worlds, saying, "Grover can't always really talk about his personal quest with Annabeth and Percy." He praised the new storyline featuring Artemis's hunters as a "nice change of pace."

Jeffries said Annabeth's role has been expanded, describing her as more independent and focused on survival, adding, "It's a smart manipulation, basically."

"Percy Jackson and the Olympians" Season 3 is set to premiere on Disney+ on Nov. 20.
