Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman announced he will terminate the congestion pricing plan if he defeats Democratic Governor Kathy Hochul in the November 3 election. Blakeman said Hochul could introduce a "menu of new taxes" and warned the pricing scheme might soon appear "to a community near you".
He pledged to kill the program outright, emphasizing his opposition to any expansion of such fees under a Hochul administration.
