Amanda Holden, 55, posted a video on Instagram on which she imitates Sharon Stone's famous leg-crossing moment from the 1992 thriller Basic Instinct while dressed in a tiny white dress.

The Heart presenter, known for showcasing sexy outfits online, sat on a grey sofa without tights, paired the figure-hugging dress with matching heels and held a pen as she crossed and uncrossed her legs.

In the clip, Holden directly references the interrogation scene in which Stone, playing Catherine Tramell, crossed her legs while being questioned alongside Michael Douglas.

Her caption read: "Some Call it Basic instinct, I call it outfit of the day".

Fans reacted with comments such as "We love this", "Love this so much", "The first few seconds of this reel may get the most replay hits in Instagram history", and "God damn".

Basic Instinct featured Stone's knicker-less look as the suspected killer Catherine Tramell, a role that helped cement her status as a 1990s sex symbol.

Later, the Oscar-nominated actress turned her focus toward HIV/AIDS advocacy, receiving a Nobel Peace Prize for that work in 2013.

She dismissed rumors of a 2025 reboot, recalling the 2006 sequel that drew criticism and stating, "If it goes the way the one that I was in went, I don't know why you'd do it. I mean, go ahead, but good luck".
