Police have published CCTV footage after a man was observed holding a gun on a city bus.

The individual, wearing a white T-shirt and a chain necklace, was seen speaking with two others while brandishing the weapon, according to officers.

Authorities emphasized that no one was injured or felt threatened during the episode.

The incident occurred on the 89 route, which runs between Nottingham city centre and Arnold, at about 4.30 pm on 9 October.

Detective Constable Natalie Gooderham of Nottinghamshire Police said, "As the public rightly expects, we will always treat any reported sighting of a firearm seriously." She added, "While nobody was hurt or threatened in this incident, we'd clearly like to establish what actually happened."

Gooderham continued, "On that note, we can now release these three images of a man we'd like to speak to urgently as part of our inquiries." She urged, "If you're the man in these pictures, we'd ask that you make yourself known to us, so that we can ask you a few questions. Likewise, if anyone recognises this person, we'd ask that you share that information with us too."
