Harry Kane secured the 2026 Ballon d'Or on home soil in London, edging out Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappe and teenage talent Lamine Yamal.
The England captain took the top honour at the ceremony, making him the fifth English player ever to claim the prize and the first since Michael Owen, 25 years earlier.
During the same event, Lamine Yamal received the Kopa Trophy for the best young player for the third consecutive year, while Bukayo Saka was presented with the Socrates Award for his humanitarian contributions off the field.
