## Article

Under-pressure Manchester United manager Michael Carrick is seeking a victory away at Chelsea as he looks to turn the club's fortunes around following their worst-ever start to a Premier League campaign.

Numerous observers believed the former midfielder would have lost his job prior to the visit to Stamford Bridge after heavy losses against Como and Bournemouth during the previous week.

Club executives had intended to dismiss Carrick during the week, but an inability to agree on a successor provided the head coach with another temporary reprieve.

Skipper Bruno Fernandes is prepared to come back into the starting eleven to play against a wounded Chelsea squad following clear-the-air discussions with Carrick on Tuesday.
